SalaryWe are looking for an experienced Night Receptionist/ Porter to join our team at School Lane Hotel on a 24 hour/week basis.
In the heart of Liverpool One, School Lane Hotel is the stylish little sister of Hope Street Hotel. Independent and individual, it is housed in a c.1850 building and mirrors Hope Street Hotel’s city chic style. Bedrooms are light-filled with huge original windows and three-metre-high ceilings. Beds are super-king with beautiful white linen, and bathrooms include rain-dance showers and Temple Spa products.
As well as being central for shopping and dining, the hotel is within walking distance of Liverpool’s most popular attractions including Royal Albert Dock, galleries, museums and the Liverpool M&S Bank Arena and Convention Centre.
You as Night Receptionist/Porter
The Night Receptionist/Porter will assist the night manager with any tasks and duties throughout the night shift including:
- General housekeeping duties of all public areas.
- Late hotel arrivals or early check ins & check outs.
- Making note of any complaints or issues and reporting back to the Duty Manager.
- Assisting with night audit & guest billing
- Assist with health and safety duties throughout the hotel including security walks.
Your Skills and Experience as Night Receptionist/Porter
- Confident, self-motivated, team worker.
- Positive, can-do attitude, service with a smile.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of prioritising workload, delegation of tasks, and able to work in a tidy and organised manner.
The position requires the holder to work consistently with the nights team to raise standards and maintain customer satisfaction. A passion for customer service is essential to ensure that every guest and visitor receives a personal service that is consistent and in line with the hotels standards.

Pay: £12.00 per hour
