Night Shift Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician - Belfast Port

Purpose of the position

To provide maintenance support on a wide range of equipment. This is a cross-functional Electrical / Mechanical role. Knowledge of PLC systems will be considered a distinct advantage.

The role is located at Belfast Port. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance as per manufacturers’ specifications;
• Fault find & resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner;
• Provide reports and documentation to support the maintenance activities completed;
• Work alongside other crafts and engineers on equipment;
• Assist with installation and commissioning as required.
   

What you’ll need to succeed

• You will be a time-served or similarly qualified Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience;
• You will also be able to demonstrate significant mechanical skills and/or cross-training;
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and control systems is also a pre-requisite;
• You must be flexible in respect of overtime and shift changes (including night work);
• Good computer literacy.
