We are looking for a Night Shift maintenance Engineer to join our team over in Soham.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment, as well as performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

As a Night Shift maintenance Engineer, you will:

• You will work Tuesday to Friday, 17:45 - 05:30
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Perform routine maintenance on conveyors, slicers, peelers, washers, dryers, and other equipment
• Respond to breakdowns and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following health and safety regulations
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory
• Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure optimal performance and quality

To be a successful Night Shift maintenance Engineer, you will need:

• A relevant qualification in engineering, such as HNC, City & Guilds, or time-served apprenticeship
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
• A good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems and components
• A strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail
• A willingness to learn new skills and technologies, and adapt to changing demands
• A positive attitude, a sense of humour, and a team spirit
