Night Shift Packer / Forklift Driver – Lymington

The company is a family owned/run business that produces innovative Tapes and Sealants that are supplied to some of the world's biggest names in the construction industry.

Salary:£11.55 raising to £15.75 once signed off and competent.

Training for this role will be on the day shift, hours: Mon-Thurs 06:00-14:00 Fri 06:00-11:00 Length of training varies, minimum of 12 weeks.

Overtime available at x1.5 after 37.5 hours during the week and Saturday.

X 2 for Sunday and bank holidays.

Night Shift Hours (Once Trained):

Mon - Thurs 22:00-06:00

Fri 17:00-22:00

Main purpose of the job:

• Manufacture of materials for supply to global customers.
• Ability to set up and operate specific machinery within the extruder area in a safe and effective manner.
• Use Forklift Truck to move product around shop floor
• To achieve the tasks set within the agreed time and effectively communicating progress to others.
• Accurate recording of daily activity and material usage.
Participation in company wide and specific continuous improvement activities.

Specific responsibilities and activities:

• Operation of extruder and mixing machinery
• Maintain run rates at 90% or above
• Responsible for monitoring the quality of the product produced
• Solely responsible for ensuring the end product meets the required quality specification
• Cleanout of extruders and mixing equipment
• Ensuring working area is kept clean and tidy and free from obstacles affecting the safe working condition of others
• Recording personal daily activity information
• Accurate recording of all production statistics including materials produced, downtime, changeovers, and information directly attributable to the extrusion area
