Due to the increase of Pedersen Kinleith Limited production requirements we have a number of permanent Night Shift Positions available commencing in January 2024.

The hours of work for these roles will be 4 twelve hour shifts with the exception of the chip truck roster set out below.

Chip Plant Excavator Operator

Vacancy 23/46

The position is accountable and responsible for the Operation of the Chipping Plant to produce quality product in accordance with the client’s KPI’s by controlling the flow and quality of logs being fed into the chipping plant to maximize production flow and output as per the production schedule.

The Chipping Plant operations are controlled from the chip feed static electric excavator and the successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate

  • Previous experience in the operation of an excavator,
  • Problem-solving skills,
  • Mechanical aptitude,
  • The ability to relate to other members of the chipping team.

A class 2 licence and W endorsement would be desirable but not essential for the position

Maintenance Fitter

This position on shift is accountable and responsible for the repair and maintenance of the chipping plant to ensure maximum uptime so that the production performance of the plant meets the requirements of the business.

The successful applicant for this position will be able to demonstrate

  • Background in the Repair and maintenance of Heavy Industrial Equipment,
  • Fabrication and welding competency,
  • Computer Literacy,
  • Reliability and confidence to be comfortable working unsupervised.

Whilst working on shift you will be supported by the other members of the maintenance team when required.

Waste Truck Driver

Vacancy 23/48

This position is responsible and accountable for the loading and carting of production waste from the chipping plant.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate previous experience and current competency in

  • Operating a heavy truck,
  • Self-loading using a wheeled loader,
  • Carting and tipping of product.

The holding of a class 4 license with W endorsement is required for this role.

Chip Truck Drivers (2)

Vacancy 23/49

These positions are responsible and accountable for the carting of chip from our plant to the Oji Kinleith chip piles.

The two roles will work a rotating shift roster of 4 x12 hour shifts per week alternating day and Night Shift

Applicants should be able to demonstrate previous experience and current competency in

  • Operating a truck and trailer unit,
  • Experience in tipping.
  • Experience in self-loading using a pivot Loader

The holding of a class 5 licence and W endorsement is required for these positions and assistance in obtaining w endorsement will be provided, if required.
