Night Site Co-Ordinator - King's Mill Hospital
28031 per annum/ 37.5 hours per week
4 days working/ 4 days off - 6pm to 6am
We're currently recruiting a dedicated Site Co-Ordinator to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.As a Site Co-Ordinator, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work. In return, you will have the chance to progress your career with a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees who go beyond the plate.The purpose of the role is to assist in the day-to-day management of the Soft Services provisions provided by the Medirest contract at Sherwood Forest PFI, and be able to step into any supervisory role within Soft FM Services including Security, Housekeeping, Portering, Catering (Patient and Retail), Switchboard, Helpdesk, Linen and Transport.

  • Conduct audits, including Medirest departmental and CQC audits to agreed schedules and submit paperwork to the Compliance Manager.
  • Ensuring that the daily work schedules of the hospital are conducted in line with the Policies and Procedures. Ensure policies and procedures are in place to ensure effective delivery of services and efficient workforce planning.
  • Promote Security awareness throughout the Trust and advise on security matters. Assist departments in identifying risk and support the undertaking of risk assessments.
  • Support departmental training plans to ensure that all staff receives all mandatory training across the contract and the departments remains training compliant at all times.
  • Ability to perform or contribute to staff development reviews in accordance with agreed procedures, develop and produce action plans based on the reviews.
  • Ability to work as part of a team but using own judgement and initiative when necessary.
  • Assist and supervise all Medirest services on an out of hours basis, being the first point of contact for the Hospital Managers and Site Co-ordinator and liaising with Ward Leaders and Departmental Heads.
  • Provide general assistance to staff, patients and visitors and create good working relationships with Contractors and the Trust Management Team.
  • Ensure that Security Officers' daily routines are undertaken, in line with planned schedules.
  • Our ideal Site Co-Ordinator will:
  • Possess good IT skills and use of Microsoft Office, excellent oral and written communication skills and educated to GCSE level in English and Maths.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, with the ability to deal with a wide range of people and situations.
  • Knowledge of Service level Agreements. Understanding of Medirest Soft Services and the NHS Security Manual and Security measures and practical applications. Understanding of all Hospital Soft Services and knowledge of Hospital layout. Working knowledge of the Hospital's Organisational Policies and Procedures.
  • The ability to communicate and work with patients, other members of staff and visitors to the hospital.
  • Ensure that information regarding patients, staff and visitors is secured and not to divulge personal details at any time or under any circumstances.
  • Understanding of relevant Manual Handling, Infection Control, Health & Safety issues.
  • Ability to organise own workload and work on own initiative.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a SIA licence and CCTV. Experience of using CCTV Digital System and Access Control CCTV Monitoring would be advantageous.
  • The ability to understand and operate within the Policies of the Security Manual.
  • Able to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Hold a full valid UK driving license.
