Night Support Worker/Carer

We are looking to recruit Support Workers and Relief Support Workers within our residential care homes located in Pontypridd.

Job title: Support Worker/Carer

Salary: £12.00 per hour, plus associated allowances & premiums. - 'sleep in' shift payments

Locations: Pontypridd (CF37 postcode)

Hours: Full time (40-48 hours per week) rostered to cover needs of the service

You will based in one of our registered care homes, with the expectation that Values in Care's Support Workers will work flexibly across the Company's services, as and when required.

Job Summary:

To provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.

Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.

Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.

As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

You will be required to attend training, team meetings and supervisions during office hours.

Qualifications, Training & Experience:

• Some work, personal or voluntary experience of supporting vulnerable people.
• Must be literate and numerate or be willing to work with Values in Care on attaining a basic level of skills.
• Must have or be willing to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Full driving licence is desirable
