GVC are pleased to be partnering with this well-established Tier 3 hospital in West Yorkshire as they search for a new Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
Role and Responsibilities:
Are you passionate about Emergency and Critical Care (ECC)? An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced out-of-hours (OOHs) Vet to join a dedicated night team. The team consists of a Vet, Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), and Patient Care Assistant (OCA) on-site throughout the night. Responsibilities include caring for in-patients and attending to overnight emergencies. They also encourage and fund further education and certificate programs.

This Tier 3 Hospital is located in West Yorkshire, with proximity to Leeds, the picturesque Peak District, and the city of York, all within easy reach. It is known for its high standard primary care and mid-tier referral services, along with five satellite clinics. The focus there is on clinical excellence and continuous development. Facilities and equipment include:
A dedicated and caring team of professionals
A full imaging suite with X-ray, multiple ultrasound scanners, onsite CT, and visiting MRI
Four theatres with a specialized surgical nursing team and certificate holder-led services
A dental suite with X-ray capabilities
Rigid/flexible endoscopy, including laparoscopy
Excellent inpatient facilities with separate wards for dogs, cats, exotics, day/long-stay patients, an ICU, and an onsite lab with a dedicated technician (covering Haem/biochem/coags/EPOC)
Separate waiting areas for dogs and cats, along with seven consult rooms
