NON-EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER (Finance/Audit) - £5k pa

Stockton-on-Tees

Based in Stockton-on-Tees, North Star owns more than 4,000 homes mainly located in Teesside and County Durham.

A successful and ambitious business, we are now looking to recruit a non-executive Board Member who is a strategic thinker and enthusiastic about working collaboratively to help us to achieve our vision.  Applicants will need to demonstrate strong business skills, balanced with an appreciation of our social purpose, a genuine empathy with our customers and an ambition to drive the business forward and help deliver our corporate plan.

We are specifically seeking a CCAB qualified accountant and finance professional who has up-to-date knowledge, skills and experience in accountancy and finance ideally gained within a regulated sector and who can also be a member of our Risk & Audit Committee (these are held both face to face and virtually).

The successful candidate will have a strong background in statutory financial reporting or auditing financial accounts. In addition, social housing sector finance, treasury, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Executive or non-executive experience would be advantageous, but not essential.
