Our client is currently seeking a talented TV business affairs lawyer with excellent experience in non-scripted TV production to join their team in Central London.
 
Our client is a specialist law firm renowned for its expertise in the television and VOD sectors.  It advises many of the UK's leading independent production companies, broadcasters and other content producers on all aspects of the law and regulations affecting these sectors.
 
The role will form part of a small team of lawyers and advisers, working closely with the firm's clients on television business affairs and production services-related matters, and collaborating with some of the most experienced and sought-after media lawyers and advisors in the TV industry.
 
They are looking for a qualified lawyer, with significant media contracts law experience in non-scripted television production, preferably gained as an in-house lawyer at a television production company (although candidates from private practice with relevant experience will also be considered).
 
You will have experience drafting and negotiating broadcaster/commissioner, financier, co-production agreements, distribution agreements and all underlying rights agreements.  You will bring an excellent understanding of the television production process, and you will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  You will need the ability to work efficiently on multiple projects under pressure, meeting tight and changing deadlines.
