NPD Concept Coordinator - Oldham

Part Time 3 days a week - 22.5 hours per week Salary Negotiable

Park Cakes is a c£220 million business which supplies cake and desserts to service the own brands of major retailers, there are two sites both based in the North West.

Our products include, high end celebration cake products, slab cakes and mainstream desserts, we mostly supply Marks & Spencer's although we also supply major retailers including Sainsbury's, and Morrisons.

We currently have a vacancy for a part time experienced NPD Co-ordinator who will assist our Concept Team driving projects and acting as liaison cross at our Oldham site, this is a role that would be suitable for an experienced person who has worked in NPD who wants to work part time.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage and organise key projects as scoped by Concept & Innovation Lead
• Liaise with NPD team members and others across site to write and prepare customer submission documents and presentation packs
• Support the Concept team with collation and management of feasibility and handover documents
• Drive and monitor the new raw material sourcing process for Concept team liaising with procurement and technical teams
• Support nutrition tracking for concept samples to ensure in line with customer policy & targets
• Resolving queries on behalf of the NPD department over the phone and by email
• Filing, photocopying and a variety of general administration tasks
• Using PowerPoint, Word and Excel to assist members of the NPD team with a variety of different ad hoc tasks including ad hoc visits to supermarkets for products (expensed by Park Cakes)

Ideal Attributes and Experience:

• Experience of working in NPD roles for 2-3 years
• Able to demonstrate examples of managing NPD projects
• Strong organisation skills and self sufficiency to action tasks
• Good level of IT skills, word, excel and PowerPoint
• A confident manner and a strong customer service focus and several years previous experience of working in a business office or NPD Office environment
• Initiative to resolve queries and high levels of organisation and planning
• An excellent telephone and face to face manner
• Flexibility to assist the team as required
• Highly diligent and confidential manner and approach
• Full Driving license and car

Hours: 3 full time days, starting between 8.30am and 9.45am depending on candidates preferred hours.
