Calling All Newly Qualified Teachers - Make a Difference with SEND/SEMH Students!
Are you a newly qualified teacher or an early careers Teacher looking for a rewarding role that makes a real difference in students' lives? We have exciting opportunities working with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) students in schools across [local area].
Please note that this role is working within Alternative Provisions for students that do not attent Mainstream schools, the students are Secondary aged pupils
While no prior experience is required, candidates with experience working in a similar setting are preferred. Ideal candidates will have:
- Some experience working with SEND/SEMH students in a teaching assistant role or volunteer capacity
- Knowledge of implementing differentiated instruction and behavior plans
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with specialists
- A patient, compassionate approach to nurturing students
As a newly qualified SEND/SEMH teacher you will:
- Work closely with individual or small groups of students to provide tailored support
- Create engaging lesson plans suited to different learning needs
- Track student progress and identify areas for growth
- Implement behavior plans and strategies to promote self-regulation
- Encourage student confidence, independence and social skills
Comprehensive training will be provided to help you gain skills and confidence. Excellent mentoring available.
