Do you have a background in Nuclear Engineering? Are you at the stage in your career, where you are looking for a role that is less physically demanding? Would you like to receive first class training from a leading energy company, with a view to becoming a Technical Author and progress into a Senior Technical Author?
Due to continued growth and expansion, my client is looking for an engineer with a nuclear background, that they can train to be a Technical Author. You will be based at a power station near Leiston, Suffolk. This role will offer an exciting progression pathway, into senior roles within the business if desired.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and updating technical documentation for the nuclear power Industry. This includes but is not limited to - Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Receipt Inspections, Pre-Assembly Procedures, Assembly / Dismantling Procedures, Commissioning Procedures, Project Definition Documents, Plant Operation Instructions, Functional Test Procedures, Station Operation Instructions, Plant Maintenance Instructions and System Descriptions.
You will work alongside a team of dedicated Project Engineers, Technical Authors, CAD Technicians and Document Controllers and site technicians to create and maintain documentation needs for various on-site project teams. As part of the wider team, you will support weekly reporting functions including attending progress meetings with various stakeholders across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Nuclear Engineer, looking for a less physically demanding role that will still offer you huge amounts of job satisfaction, as well as the chance to progress within the business.
