The main duties of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist role include:
- Actively engage in the efficient and safe functioning of the Nuclear Medicine Department, ensuring a consistent, top-tier service for all patients and visitors.
- Collaborate within the department alongside Nuclear Medicine Consultants to provide exceptional care to patients during Nuclear Medicine scans and procedures.
- Assist the team in delivering care that contributes to enhancing the health of both individuals and the broader community.
- Support the team in exemplifying compassion by fostering empathetic, respectful, and dignified relationships.
- Enhance personal proficiency to administer effective care and treatments by advancing clinical/technical knowledge, skills, and expertise.
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in patient care.
- Serve as an advocate for patient safety, exhibiting courage to address concerns about care.
- Show dedication to enhancing care quality and the overall patient experience.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist holding a postgraduate Nuclear Medicine Qualification.
- Radiographer possessing a postgraduate Nuclear Medicine Qualification, with proficiency in IT systems such as RIS/PACS.
- Familiarity with the healthcare service sector, including its systems and operational processes.
- Knowledgeable about the College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct/Accountability.
- Understanding of Radiation Regulations.
- An appropriate amount of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
