The opportunity
As our Nurse Associate you will:
Prioritise patient safety, taking appropriate actions and encouraging colleagues to call out and report safety concerns.
Contribute towards effective clinical risk management– supporting risk management activity.
Proactively identify and manage safety issues and risks in accordance with regulation.
Promote a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff (in full compliance with all policies and procedures).
Report and escalate clinical incidents and risks, completing all required documentation.
Champion safeguarding, addressing and escalating concerns. · To champion infection prevention, ensuring compliance with evidence-based standards and best practices.
Manage all confidential data in line with data protection requirements, escalating any concerns.
The person
To succeed as a Nurse Associate, you will need:
To Be A Registered associate practitioner with the NMC
Qualifications applicable to the registration requirement (English/Maths plus Level 5 Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification )
Basic level of English language demonstrated through effective written and verbal communication skills
IT skills
Competency in clinical skills related to role
Significant experience in a Healthcare Support Worker role

Our purpose-build hospital has 39 bedrooms, 3 theatres and 1 minor treatment facility and busy outpatient department. We also provide physiotherapy, pathology, CT, MRI and diagnostic imaging services. We are conveniently located on Clayton Road, off the A519. We also provide free parking for staff.

Overtime
For clinical roles grade 9 and below, the overtime is at a standard rate of pay. For unsocial hours, you’ll be paid an additional enhancement to your salary at the following rates: Nights Hours worked between 7pm and 7am on any day of the week, 30% of basic hourly rate. Weekends Hours worked between 7am and 7pm on a Saturday or Sunday, 20% of basic hourly rate. Bank Holidays Hours worked between midnight and midnight of a bank holiday, 100% of basic hourly rate.
