Are you an experienced caregiver? We're looking for Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Paramedics who are passionate about delivering high-quality care, by using your clinical expertise in a new way, within a supportive team environment.

About the role of a Disability Assessor:

You'll assess individuals with a range of physical and/or mental health disabilities, in person or by phone, as part of their claim for the Personal Independence Payment scheme. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building a rapport with people who have a diverse range of health conditions, including physical, sensory, mental health and cognitive issues.
  • Using clinical experience and/or a physical assessment around the claimants daily activities to understand the severity of their conditions and what their limitations are
  • Interpreting medical evidence and comprehensively reporting your findings on the conditions presented, to support the decision-making process for the PIP claim.

Benefits Package for the role of a Disability Assessor:

  • Office hours working pattern - Monday to Friday (no weekends, nights, long days)
  • Flexible/part-time opportunities available post training completion
  • Homebased/Hybrid working available
  • Continuous CPD support provided, plus reimbursement of your annual HCPC/NMC registration fee
  • Pension scheme matching up to 10% and you will retain earnings from any existing pensions (such as NHS)
  • Life assurance, private medical insurance, medical indemnity insurance and more

Requirements for the role of a Disability Assessor:

You do not need any experience as a Disability Assessor previously, as an excellent, in-depth training masterclass is provided, but we do require:

  • Nurse, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist qualification
  • 12 months post reg clinical experience minimum
  • Full registration with NMC/HCPC with no restrictions on pin
  • Ability to work autonomously and I.T competency
