The successful candidate will assist in organising and implementing a stimulating and varied programme of activities for children within a group setting and on an individual level. S/he will carry out any other reasonable duties which will enhance the quality of life for the children within the nursery. S/he will offer support, assistance and information to the parents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide stimulating, creative play opportunities and be involved in programme planning.
- To set up and clear away daily activities in conjunction with other members of staff and be responsible for the care and maintenance of equipment ensuring that Health and Safety standards are met.
- To ensure preparation and maintenance of all facilities required, such as rooms, materials and equipment and ensure all facilities and resources are left clean and tidy after sessions
- To ensure a good standard of hygiene and safety and observe all relevant health and safety rules and guidelines.
- To develop supportive relationships with parents/carers.
- To ensure confidentiality of information relating to children and families at all times
- To comply with nursery policies and procedures and be aware of and work in accordance with relevant legislation at all times.
- To assist with the update of accurate records on a regular basis
- To participate in induction and training programmes, meetings and supervision as required
