Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children, excellent communication skills, and a nurturing personality. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our nursery, assisting with the care and development of children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for children.
- Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and experiences.
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtime, and outdoor activities.
- Provide basic care tasks, including feeding, diaper changing, and ensuring hygiene practices.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing demeanor.
- Basic understanding of child development principles.
- Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3) would be advantageous but not essential.
