Job description:
Working in partnership with the Manager to ensure the cleanliness of the Nursery, adhering to the Policies and Procedures as set in the company manuals and in compliance with COSHH regulations, Health and Safety and within the guidelines as set by OFSTED and the National Standards.
Responsibilities Include:
Be a reliable member of a team, working co-operatively and with flexibility
To work flexible hours as requested by the Nursery Manager
To maintain a high standard of work following the daily and weekly cleaning schedule as issued to you by your Manager
Ensure all floors are swept and mopped thoroughly with disinfectant in all rooms including the laundry, kitchen and bathrooms
Ensure all carpets are vacuumed and edges cleaned in all rooms
- Wipe done all counter tops
- Clean kitchen utensils including the refrigerator and microwave
- Dust furniture, picture frames, ledges, skirting, sills and radiators in all rooms.
- Wash all toilet bowls and washbasins using disinfectant in Nursery toilets, staff toilets and disabled toilets
- Damp dust and polish taps and mirrors
- Damp dust pipes, cisterns, disposal units, towel dispensers and soap dispensers
- Wash down all wall tiles with disinfectant
- Replenish toilet roll holders, soap dispensers and towel dispensers
- All bins to be emptied refuse to be taken to appropriate storage area and bins liners replaced where appropriate and/cleaned out
- Damp dust light switches, door furniture and walls to remove marks
- Dust/wipe down telephones/desktops using disinfectant
- Clean glass vision panels/internal windows to remove all hand marks
- Check outside area by front door for debris e.g. paper
- Clean all Nursery signage
- To monitor the stock of cleaning materials and re-order via the Manager

- Develop positive relationships with other staff working within the Nursery
- To maintain confidentiality at all times

HEALTH AND SAFETY
- To ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
- To be aware of the company Health and Safety Policy
- To comply with the companies regulation manuals
- Undertake a shared responsibility for Health and Safety and cleanliness
- Be familiar with all emergency and security procedures, e.g. Fire Procedure
- To report any repairs to your manager
CONDUCT
Ensure that all work carried out is done to a high standard
Ensure all are policies and procedures are followed
Suggest more efficient ways of working
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: £11.44-£12.00 per hour
