We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Nursery Nurse to join our existing team.
This permanent position will be based in our school Nursery every morning.
The successful candidate will provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for our children and give support to other staff within the setting. They will be a talented and professional individual who shares our vision of high aspirations, achievement and a passion for learning. They will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day to day school life and be a strong team player.
You will be part of a supportive and experienced team who have a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and importance this has in a child’s educational journey. Our School is a successful and thriving Infant & Nursery School at the heart of a supportive community. Support staff are an integral part of our School and have a key role in raising the attainment of our pupils.
The person we are looking for must have:
- The ability to work as part of a team and use their own initiative.
- A commitment to helping each child fulfil their potential.
- The ability to develop positive relationships with young children
- The ability to communicate effectively with parents and carers about children’s learning, progress and next steps
- An understanding of child development and how children learn
- The ability to work independently with groups of pupils or individuals
- An understanding of National Curriculum, EYFS Guidance and other codes of practice e.g. SEN, Equalities , Safeguarding
- Good communication and ICT skills.
- Enjoy working with children.
- A calm, positive and confident manner.
- Good organisational skills and be self-motivated with high expectations
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
- NNEB Certificate/BTEC National Diploma or equivalent
- An awareness of safeguarding issues.
There may be an opportunity for increased hours for a candidate with the right experience, skillset and passion in working with parents to improve progress and outcomes for children.
