Are you experienced in providing complex clinical care with children or young people?

Apollo Home Healthcare are seeking experienced Nursery Nurses/Childcare Practitioners to support a young boy with his complex care needs.

Meet our service user

Our service user is a young boy in his teens who lives at home with his loving family and requires support with his complex and clinical care needs throughout the day.

He is a very sociable and pleasant young man who loves spending quality time with his family and care team. He enjoys exploring creative activities such as arts, crafts, and baking, and enjoys being out and about going for walks.

Throughout the day you will provide support at home and within his educational setting. You will provide support with his personal care, moving and handling, attending to his clinical care needs when required and assist him to enjoy his hobbies and interests, encouraging his engagement through play.

Throughout the night you will provide support with his personal care, repositioning, making close observations and attending to his clinical care needs when required. He can have an unsettled sleep and you will be required to offer reassurance when needed, ensure his safety and attend to his needs and wants.

Essential Experience Required

• 3 months previous care supporting Children
• Personal Care
• Moving and Handling

Desirable Experience

• Epilepsy Care
• Seizure Management
• Rescue Medication
• Bowel Care
• PEG Feeding
• UK Driving Licence

We have the following shifts available;

• Part Time Days- 2- shifts per week
• We are offering a variety of shifts for this position
• 8:00am-8:00pm
• 8:00am-4:00pm
• 4:00pm-8:00pm
• Saturday 8:00am-8:00pm
• Sunday 8:00am-12:00pm
• Nights- 2 shifts per week
• 10:00pm - 8:00am

Weekdays: £13.00 per hour Approx. £156 per 12-hour shift

Weeknights: £13.50 per hour Approx. £135 per 10-hour shift

Weekends: £14.00 per hour Approx. £168 per 12-hour shift

Bank Holidays: £16.00 per hour Approx. £192 per 12-hour shift
