Nursery Officer – Longsight Nursery
About us
Longsight Nursery gives children aged 0-4 the chance to learn through imagination, creativity and play in a safe, fun space. The
nursery is in the same building as Longsight Community Primary School and Longsight Children’s Centre. We come together to act as
a Family Hub to provide seamless provision and support for all families in our community.
Longsight Nursery is part of Big Life Schools Multi-Academy Trust which is a part of The Big Life group, providing support,
governance, and strategic direction for our schools. Big Life Schools shares the values and ethos of The Big Life group.

What you’ll be doing
As a Nursery Officer, you will deliver high-quality childcare, ensuring that the welfare requirements of the Early Years
Foundation Stage are consistently met. You’ll work in partnership with your colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure that
children reach their full potential.
What we need from you
* You will be an outstanding Nursery practitioner.
* You will have a Level 2, or above, Early Years Education and Childcare qualification.
* You will deliver high quality childcare ensuring that the welfare requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage are
consistently met.
* You will support other staff within the nursery.
* You will work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that children in their care reach their full potential through
the delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
* You will support the growth and success of Big Life Nurseries by delivering excellent customer services.
* You will motivate and inspire children and adults through innovative practice.
* You will be positive, resilient, flexible, and work well in our happy team.
* You will share Longsight’s vision and the values of the Big Life Group.

* A salary of £23,465.
* A permanent, full-time contract (37.5 hours a week).
* 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 days after 5 years).
