Position: Toddler Room - Room Leader
Salary Banding: From GBP26,146 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)
Hours: Full time / Permanent / Mon-Fri / 40 hours
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Our Amazing Bright Horizons Eddington Day Nursery and Preschool are looking for a passionate Room Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.
The modern, purpose-built 125 place nursery is within the University of Cambridge's new Eddington district, and is easily accessible from the city centre.
There are 4 light and airy base rooms with large spaces for children to explore, home cooked food which is freshly prepared on site, and additional curricular activities including cookery, music and science. The children also have access to the nursery's award winning courtyard garden and play area.

What you'll be doing
Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment
What we're looking for
Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
