Garden Village Academy will open for Nursery and Reception aged pupils in September 2024 and then grow year-on-year up to Year 6. We welcome applications from suitably experienced Nursery Assistants to provide an enriched Early Years learning journey for children in the newly built community.

Job Summary
Garden Village Nursery are recruiting for a Level 3 Nursery Nurse to work in a fun, stimulating nursery as part of the new Academy School.
The key-duties of a Nursery Nurse include;
- Fulfil the welfare requirements of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and have a sound understanding of the learning and development requirements. Play and support children's learning Review and monitor your key-children's development, to ensure children's needs and development are met. Liaise with parent's and other professionals Work as part of a team.

Individual Eligibility Criteria for the Golden Hello/EY Financial Incentive Pilot
The individual (You) eligible for the incentive must meet the following criteria:
- Applying for their first role at an early year's provider required by section 40(2) of the Childcare Act 2006 to implement the early years foundation stage – other than a childminder or a reception class, or Returning after a break of at least six months, and have secured a permanent role at a Staffordshire based Provider which involves directly working with children for at least 70% of the time, this can be in a full or part time role. Apprentices must have passed their apprenticeship and be taken on in a permanent role. The individual is not on temporary contract.
- The individual must have a minimum qualification in relation to early years and childcare and is DBS checked.
Minimum requirements are outlined at: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/early-years-qualifications-finder - The individual has been recruited by the Provider for a role that was advertised between1st April to 31st December 2024. The individual must engage in the information sharing and evaluation which will be through electronic surveys. This will be to monitor the progress of the pilot and to feedback to the DFE (Department for Education).
