About: Tradewind Recruitment are working with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Sheffield, that is dedicated to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning in a supportive and inclusive environment. The school is currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in a Nursery class for 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to children.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help with the assessment and recording of pupil progress.
- Supervise children during break times and activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support the social and emotional development of pupils.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a Nursery class setting.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in childcare or education (desirable but not essential).
