Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant Contract: Part-Time, Fixed term contract (adoption leave) Salary: Grade B - £23,846 - £26,108 (actual starting salary is £13,607) Start: As soon as possible We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and talented team at The Redstart Primary School. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning. The successful candidate will be required to work Tuesday 9.00am-3.00pm, Wednesday 8.30am-3.30pm, Thursday 9.30am-3.45pm and Friday 8.30am-3.30pm with a half an hour lunch break each day. This is a Term Time only role offered on a fixed term contract basis. The role is to cover a member of staff who will be taking adoption leave and is expected to be off until the end of August 2024, but could come back into post earlier. What we are looking for: We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (Level 1) to assist in the educational, personal, and social development of designated children under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues. Support children by adopting relevant strategies and techniques to enable them to achieve developmental milestones, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential. Takes responsibility for implementing planned learning activities/ teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to children’s responses as appropriate. The checks will also include an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list.
