Foyle Hospice Have immediate vacancies for Nursing Assistant (Band 3, Agenda for Change pay scale)Current posts available: 22.5 hours permanent/15 hours temporary.We are recruiting for committed Nursing Assistants both temporary and permanent and to create a waiting list for future Nursing Assistant vacancies. Applicants will have a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care and a minimum of one year’s experience working in a health care setting.Bank Nursing Assistants (Band 2) are also required for as and when hours.Staff will be expected to work in any of the following areas: Inpatient Unit, Day Hospice and Integrative Care Clinic. Working hours include day and night duty shifts.Closing date for the receipt of all completed applications is Monday 26th February 2024.Interviews for will be held on Friday 8th March 2024.Late Applications will not be accepted.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Responsibilities
- Assisting qualified nursing staff in providing high quality standards of palliative and end of life care for patients and their relatives
- Delivering a range of patient care duties under indirect supervision of qualified staff which includes recording of patient information and providing basic patient care
- Adhering to all infection control policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Minimum 1 years experience working in a health care setting
- Completed NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent
