Job Title: Special Education Teacher (SEMH)

Salary: £23,000 - £35,000 (Dependent on Qualifications and Experience)

Falcons Learning is a nurturing, independent special school dedicated to offering tailored educational experiences for learners with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) barriers. Our school is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes the holistic development of each student. With aspirations to be class-leading, Falcons Learning provides a dynamic educational setting for up to 28 learners, aged 11-18, who have not been able to access mainstream education. The Role

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher who is passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of children with SEMH. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, responsible for planning, developing, and delivering a comprehensive educational curriculum.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualised education plans (IEP) to meet specific student needs.
• Plan and deliver engaging and adaptive instruction.
• Utilise a variety of instructional strategies to enhance student development.
• Assess student performance regularly and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with other educators and parents to support comprehensive student development.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Valid teaching certification with specialization in special education.
• Experience in a primary school or special education setting, with a strong understanding of SEMH.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
• A compassionate, patient, and creative approach to teaching.

Pay: £23,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
