Due to our growing Nurture Provisions, we are seeking experienced, inspirational, ambitious, nurturing and dedicated professional to join our wonderful school as a Nurture Provision Teacher. We currently have 2 Nurture Provisions, 1 for KS1 pupils and 1 for KS2 pupils, we currently have 10 wonderful pupils who access this provision. Some pupils access the Nurture Provision for some part of the day and some all of the school day.

Please note, children with high and extremely challenging needs who require 1:1 support are not part of the nurture room provision.

The role would include:

  • Adapting the year group planning for pupils in the KS1 and KS2 Nurture Provision, this is mainly taught by experienced nurture HLTAs
  • The curriculum assessment of the pupils in the nurture room
  • Direct and support the HLTAs and TAs in the nurture rooms ensuring that quality implementation of the curriculum is delivered
  • Supporting the development of HLTAs and TAs to continue to flourish
  • Teach/lead some of the sessions in the nurture rooms and tutor the pupils attending the provision
  • Support the re-integration of pupils into the mainstream classroom where appropriate
  • Plan and support with the implementation of the indoor and outdoor environments in the KS1 and KS2 Nurture Provisions to support pupil need. This includes a play based environment
  • Work with parents of pupils, Family Support Worker, SENDCo and class teachers to support the children
  • Plan in additional enrichment opportunities for the pupils accessing the nurture room
  • Lead Life skills (RSHE) across the school

  • Has proven success accelerating children’s learning
  • Has a good understanding of SEND needs and supporting pupils with their SEMH

  • Works well with colleagues, treating all with dignity and respect
  • Will embrace the hygge approach to our school community
  • Values and works hard to keep and maintain an effective classroom environment

  • Experience of planning continuous provision (desirable)
