As the NVH CAE Lead Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the NVH attribute within the Powertrain CAE NVH Chapter. From concept to production, you'll spearhead the analysis and resolution of NVH issues, ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence and delivery efficiency.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the concept and design specification of Powertrain commodities using diverse CAE tools and processes.
- Execute CAE models and conduct post-processing of results using both commercial and proprietary software.
- Ensure adherence to System Design Specifications and Corporate Requirements.
- Deliver the NVH attribute of Powertrain commodities in accordance with defined requirements.
- Communicate NVH solutions effectively to Design, Integration, and Development teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Fundamental knowledge of power unit systems, especially Electric Drive Unit (EDU) and Battery commodities.
- Strong understanding of solid mechanics and dynamic behaviour of structures.
- Proficiency in NVH assessment techniques.
- Experience in linear static/dynamic/forced frequency and non-linear finite element analysis using JLR tools (HyperMesh, Simlab, Abaqus CAE, 3DExperience).
- Familiarity with optimization techniques (Topology/Shape) using commercial optimizers (e.g., Optistruct/Tosca).
Desirable
- Proven track record and experience in EDU and Battery NVH delivery/method development within an OEM.
