Full-time, permanent contract
Salary: £30,000-£33,000 dependent on experience
Are you passionate about breaking down barriers to participation in orchestral music? We have an opportunity for a highly organised individual to join our team as NYO Inspire Manager.
The National Youth Orchestra is the UK's leading organisation championing orchestral music as a powerful agent for teenage development. We are a welcoming community where every teenager can play their part in shaping their world through extraordinary music.
NYO Inspire is an inclusion and access programme that provides free opportunities to Grade 6-8 teenage musicians to develop their orchestral playing. At the heart of the programme is the power of peer inspiration and learning; we believe teenagers can gain so much from open exchange and sharing with fellow teenage musicians. NYO Inspire has a special focus on supporting and empowering musicians underrepresented in NYO and the professional orchestra sector - specifically those in state education and from Black, Asian, and ethnically diverse backgrounds.
The NYO Inspire Manager leads on the logistical planning and delivery of all NYO Inspire activity. The role would suit an individual with excellent administration skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a flexible, can-do attitude. Successful candidates will have some experience in supporting projects and events within the arts or youth sectors.
You would be joining a friendly and dynamic staff team who are passionate about music and young people. The role is based at NYO's spacious and light offices near Holborn in central London (with some remote working by agreement), and there will be opportunities to attend NYO's UK-wide concerts and activities. NYO offers a season ticket loan scheme, cycle-to-work scheme, health cash plan, and 24/7 counselling and support helpline.
Deadline for applications: 10am on Tuesday, 11 June 2024
