Role Summary

The Remote Occupational Health Nurse role at MCL is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised individual to join our expanding team, dedicated to our client to achieve their statutory duties to protect and promote the health, safety and welfare of people at work. We’re looking for a reliable and motivated professional with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills who is committed to ongoing professional development, has the ability to analyse & interpret data and problem-solving skills to meet the needs of our client. The successful applicant will be a self-starter who takes initiative and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. They will be comfortable troubleshooting and problem-solving and have a passion for supporting the success of the organisation.

As part of the MCL Medics team, your key responsibilities include.

  • Workplace assessments
  • Reporting on health risks
  • Routine health surveillance
  • Pre-placement screenings
  • Fitness-for-work assessments
  • Actively provide guidance on physical and mental health, maintaining high Occupational Healthcare standards
  • Managing Health Records ensuring safe storage, security and confidentiality of all OH records, at all times complying with relevant legislation and good practice
  • Contribute to the business success and work closely with our client to deliver Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health

What Are We Looking For?

  • RGN/RMN with prior Occupational Health Advisor experience
  • Current NMC Registration
  • Desirable: Occupational Health Nursing qualification; relevant experience considered
  • Proactive, friendly, and professional individuals with workload management confidence
  • Contribute towards safe working practices across the OH Delivery team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to contribute ideas and suggestions for improvements in order to achieve more effective working practices
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages, and comfortable in use of OH software
