The main duties of this Occupational Hygiene Consultant role:
- To be able to conduct workplace assessments to identify potential health hazards, including chemical biological and physical factors.
- Accurately measuring and sampling levels of personal workplace exposure.
- Using specialist monitoring equipment and instruments to assess noise levels, vibration, and other workplace stressors.
- Reviewing and interpreting data to assess health risks and recommending suitable, practical control measures.
- Staying current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in Occupational Hygiene.
- Prepare reports, documents, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
- Liaising with a range of people, including employers and employees, in the process of evaluating workplaces.
- Travel within a working day is common to visit clients' sites to investigate situations in the workplace.
- Preparation and shipment of samples to our laboratory of choice.
Skills required for this Occupational Hygiene Consultant role:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to gain the confidence and cooperation of the workforce and clients.
- Competency in analysing, interpreting and presenting date in a clear, concise manner.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively to deadlines.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet objectives.
- Excellent IT skills with experience working with a variety of software packages and must have proficiency working with Microsoft World or Excel.
- Possess a high customer service ethic and be passionate about meeting client expectations and maintaining service levels.
- A full, clean UK driving licence - along with availability to travel throughout the UK and be flexible in working hours to meet clients' requirements.
