Peritus Health Management is an Integrated Occupational Health and Occupational Hygiene Company whose focus is on reducing the adverse effects of work on health. We provide a ‘one stop shop’ for customers who wish to manage their health risks and promote and protect the health of their most valuable assets, their employees. Our occupational hygiene team currently provide air, noise and vibration monitoring and we would like to extend the services provided to cover all aspects of occupational hygiene.
We are looking for either an experienced Occupational Hygienist or somebody interested in joining our multidisciplinary team. Working with the Senior Occupational Hygienist, you will liaise with Occupational Health Specialists and Safety Professionals to ensure a professional and seamless service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake on-site occupational hygiene monitoring to professional standards and producing high quality and detailed technical occupational hygiene reports.
- Liaise with customers during inductions, site surveys and following reports.
- Adhere to the quality management system.
- Develop professionally and potentially support in the delivery of training for staff and customers.
- Assess and identify new / current customers’ monitoring needs by working with the Business Development Executive.

Essential Requirements:
- Educated to degree level and willing to work towards the Licentiate Certificate of Competency in Occupational Hygiene (LFOH) from the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS).
- An understanding in best practice techniques for conducting industrial hygiene related surveys and the associated risk reduction techniques (including physical installation, use and maintenance of industrial hygiene survey equipment).
- Full (ideally clean) UK driving licence is essential as the role will involve travel.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. W modules from the BOHS) and / or LFOH status.
- Experience in Workplace Air Monitoring, Workplace Noise Monitoring, Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) testing, Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) and Whole Body Vibration (WBV) Assessments, COSHH Risk Assessments, Legionella Risk Assessments, Electro-Magnetic Field (EMF) Assessments, Environmental Monitoring, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Assessments.
- Training and Assessing qualification / experience.
