Occupational Therapist (Band 6)

Hays Healthcare are actively recruiting Band 6Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Community Rehabilitation and ESD service in Blackburn-with-Darwen. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing holistic treatment to patients of all age groups, helping them improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments.
Your new roleand responsibilities

• The role will involve assessing patients, planning treatment plans and coordinating support and equipment to meet the patient's needs
• Working across both rehabilitation and ESD.
• Promoting continuity of care into the community setting and also working with the wider MDT to support long term rehabilitation pathways for patients in their own home's to support, increase or maintain their independence.
• We are looking for a therapist with excellent communication skills who can demonstrate sound clinical assessment skills who has the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• The role will involve a holistic approach to encompassing physical rehabilitation and refer to wider community services.
• You will improve experience for patients and their families. We promote continuity of care for patients in the community setting. Supporting patients following falls and providing support for the Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT).

What you'll need to succeed

• A BSc or diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Registered Occupational Therapist with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Member of RCOT
• Experience working with individuals and groups with a range of complex presentations in an inpatient and day patient setting
