Through service redesign we have ensured all staff, including our Occupational Therapists, have the benefit of Advanced Practitioners, Consultants, and a Lead Occupational Therapist to support excellent standards of practice across both the Reablement Service and the wider department. This is encompassed by the four pillars of professional practice, facilitation of learning, leadership and education, research & development. (RCOT 2021).
Occupational Therapy principles underpin our service, and we are continually seeking opportunities to enhance delivery. Personal development for all staff is a priority, having a structured workforce development plan in place whereby we actively encourage and support continuing professional development, including formal qualification routes.
We are passionate about working in collaborative partnership with organisations across Health and Social care in maximising independence, preventing hospital admissions, and facilitating rapid discharge from hospital to improve outcomes for the people of Hampshire.
We would also welcome interest from newly qualified Occupational Therapists to apply and we are able to offer a preceptorship programme.
The Reablement Service operates 7 days a week and there will be a requirement to work weekends on a rotational 1 in 6 basis.
For further information please visit our Reablement website.
