An exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join an established multi-disciplinary team within a 32 bed extended Neurological Rehabilitation Unit in Southport.

Our client is a 32 residents and they are looking for a strong self-motivated individual who is able to work with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the rehabilitation outcomes of residents. They provide care for adults with a physical disability, as a result of an acquired brain injury (ABI) or progressive neurological condition (PNC) or mental needs, associated with conditions such as epilepsy. they also cater for longer-stay residents who receive ongoing maintenance therapies according to their individual needs.
Our Cient is focused on creating a warm, home-like environment for their residents (particularly long-term) to develop and thrive to the best of their abilities. The people we support are fully involved in all aspects of their care and have a substantial input and choice into which services they receive.
The successful person will be able to work independently supported by assistants.
Job Role:
* Providing specialist care and rehabilitation to those with a range of neurological conditions.
* You would be given the opportunity to gain experience working with patients with complex physical and cognitive deficits including patients with prolonged disorder of consciousness.
* Providing assessment, patient centred rehabilitation and working with the wider team to facilitate complex discharges.
* You will be given regular supervision and training and have lots of opportunities for joint working with other OT's and the rest of the MDT.
