Due to the need to visit patients homes as part of the assessment and intervention process, you must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role. All posts are full-time, 37.5 hours per week. For inpatient areas the working pattern is Monday to Friday, with a requirement to work some weekends and bank holidays which would be on a rota basis. The Interface Team operate a shift system across seven days working three days one week and four days the next which includes some weekends and bank holidays. The Recovery at Home Therapy Team covers 8am to 8pm over seven days, and there is the option to work hours flexibly over either four or five days per week. To work as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist rotating between physical specialities on a six monthly basis. The specialties are as follows: Sunderland Royal Hospital site: Medicine and Surgery Care of the Elderly Acute Stroke/Neuro Rehab Interface Team Trauma and Orthopaedics Independent Living Centre: Sunderland Recovery at Home Therapy Team South Tyneside Hospital site: Medicine Orthopaedics and General Surgery To work as a therapy practitioner using clinical reasoning skills to provide therapy assessment, treatment and advice to a caseload which will incorporate a range of presentation of conditions. To complete effective, concise documentation of patients records in line with Trust, professional & department standards. To work toward the achievement of specific response time targets. To ensure accurate data entry takes place in line with departmental standards. To work towards improving quality services including implementing evidence based practice. To participate in the service and patient pathways in line with clinical standards and best practice.
