Service Care Solutions are working with a Specialist School to recruit an Occupational Therapist to support an Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) in the Mitcham area. The successful candidate will provide support to Children within the ages of 4-12 years, with a range of Mental and Physical Health conditions in line with the occupational therapy pathways. The Specialist School meets the needs of pupils with a primary diagnosis ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties and Sensory Issues. This is a Fixed-Term Contract covering maternity leave.
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 04:30
Location: Mitcham, London
Pay: £33.00 p/h LTD
Bonus: £250 Sign-Up Bonus
Job Purpose -Occupational Therapist
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, carrying a defined clinical caseload for individuals. The successful candidate will provide Occupational Therapy for Children with mental health conditions such as ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties and Sensory Issues.
Key Responsibilities

• To provide a high-quality service by a dedicated team for patients referred to the Acute Therapy Service
• To work collaboratively within the school, ensuring that therapeutic support permeates every aspect of the education, care and support. Providing consultation, workshops, training and guidance to the educational and residential teams around the children.
• Postholder will provide high quality and evidence based occupational therapy assessment and interventions, both group and individual, to people who access services and their carers/supporters/family members, in line with the occupational therapy pathways.

• Occupational Therapy qualification
• HCPC Registration
• UK Driving License and Access to Own Method of Transport
