An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work within the inpatient Occupational Therapy Team in Glan Clwyd Hospital as a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner. This post is 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis.
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to the team of occupational therapists. You will be involved in delivering treatment programmes under the supervision of the Occupational therapist which will include increasing independence in functional activities of daily living. You will play a key role in assisting patients to meet their goals and promoting their independence. Interventions may be delivered 1:1 or as part of a group, in hospital.
You will have a strong commitment to working with people in a caring and rehabilitative way excellent organizational and time management skills and be competent using IT. You will work well within a team and also be confident and competent to work autonomously.
The team has a strong commitment to CPD and service development and you will be well supported as you develop within the role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
