Our client is seeking an experienced Ocean Export Coordinator to manage their Ocean Exports from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in ocean freight, exceptional people management skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service. You will be responsible for overseeing markets in North America, the Far East, India, and Australia, and will have 2 direct reports.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage the complete Ocean Export process for various international markets.
- Provide leadership and direction to 2 team members.
- Ensure knowledge and application of LCL and FCL services.
- Utilise industry-specific software such as CNS, Destin8, and Sequoia effectively.
- Maintain a hands-on approach within a busy office environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain effective communication with clients.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of ocean freight experience.
- Essential knowledge of LCL and FCL services.
- Proficiency in industry-specific software such as CNS, Destin8, and Sequoia, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in a fast-paced office setting.
- Proficient with standard software packages, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong people management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Willingness to go above and beyond to meet objectives.
