Our client is looking for an experienced Ocean Freight Export Clerk to manage ocean exports from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Ocean Freight operations, who is adaptable, has a “can do” attitude, and is ready to take ownership of their responsibilities.
Day to day of the role:- Handle ocean export operations from inception to completion.
- Manage shipping lanes and ISF filings efficiently.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of both LCL and FCL services.
- Utilise systems such as CNS, Destin8, Sequoia (or similar), and Boxtop to streamline operations.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, providing exceptional service.
- Collaborate with team members and manage tasks in a busy office environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Ocean Freight.
- Proficient knowledge of operational aspects of Ocean Export.
- Familiarity with LCL and FCL services, as well as relevant software systems.
- Proficiency in standard software packages, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- A proactive individual with great initiative.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, vibrant office environment.
- Successful completion of a basic DBS check.
