Our site in Perth is currently recruiting for fantastic people to come and join the team in our Offal Packing department.
Working Hours 8.30 - 6.30pm, Monday to Friday
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To ensure that each product is processed through the offal packing as per the offal packing procedure
- To ensure work is done to production deadlines as well as maximizing yield and minimizing waste.
- To ensure all procedures undertaken are carried out in a correct and safe manner and follow safe working procedures
- To ensure that all production is met as per instructions from the Abattoir Manager
- To ensure continuous improvements in efficiency and complete all documentation as required by the Abattoir Manager
- To liaise with the relevant Manager on any product quality problems
- To report to the Abattoir Manager any problems with equipment or machinery
- To ensure that relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- To ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures, particularly with regard to health and safety and food safety at all times
- To ensure that where PPE is provided to staff, that this is correctly worn/used, maintained and any defects reported to the relevant key colleagues.
- To adhere to current legislation and Company hygiene policies with regards to safe food production and hygiene at all times
- Hygiene - To ensure best practice is adopted at all times in your department for control of staff, product and environmental hygiene.
- To ensure that you and your staff comply with the Company Health and Safety policy at all times
- Any other duties as required
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background in a a similar role.
The candidate will enjoy challenging, problem solving roles and be ideally suited to a fast paced environment.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task.
