We’re recruiting an Office and Student Experience Coordinator for the Students’ Union at ARU in Cambridge to be the first point of contact for students and visitors to the Students’ Union, providing a gateway to other union services as well as administration and finance support within the Students’ Union.
What you will be doing
- Be the first point of contact for queries, creating a warm welcome for visitors and demonstrating a well-rounded knowledge of the Union and its event and activities.
- Ensuring the office is appropriately staffed by monitoring desk bookings.
- Acting as a front line for the Student Advice Service, triaging enquiries, identifying appropriate sign posting and relevant information.
- Assisting the Student Opportunities team during peak demand times with administration support
- Recruitment and line management of student staff
- Processing all financial transactions for the office
- Assisting the finance manager with the monthly forecasting and credit card reconciliation
- Overseeing the running of the student space. Implementing ideas for the continual development of this area and ensuring that our venue is a welcoming and engaging environment for our students and visitors.

Where will you be working
This role is based on the Cambridge campus. Due to the nature of the role, the postholder will be required to work in the office 5 days per week.
