Form of workTo obtain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace according to management deadlines (office areas, toilet facilities, kitchen areas). To follow and adhere to Cargiant’s set disciplines and principles, in a professional compliant manner, with a positive can-do attitude.
What you will do:
- General cleaning upkeep of all offices.
- Ensure plants are well kept.
- Damp wipe base of desks and chairs, ledges and window sills.
- Clean computers and telephones.
- Hoover carpets and clean/dust furniture.
- Clean kitchens, mop floors, wash worktops, sinks, microwaves, fridges, cupboards.
- Clean toilets, mop floors, wash toilet bowls, mirrors, sinks and urinals, recording the time in the checklist.
- Replenish stocks, air fresheners, toilet paper, hand soap, etc.
- Ensure work is done with responsibilities to Health & Safety directives, e.g. using warning signs where applicable.
- Ensue all odd objects are cleaned from the offices/toilets/kitchens.
- Report all known faults for example: blocked toilets, leakages or faulty lights to supervisory staff.
- Use relevant PPE.
What you will need:
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good knowledge of cleaning and relevant products to use
- Good awareness of Health and Safety regulations and manual handling
Health & Safety Responsibilities:

- This includes reporting all accidents and near misses to management.
- Reporting any potential issues which could cause harm.
- Behave in a manner which acts in line with the standards set out in the Health and Safety Manual and Company Handbook.
