About The Role
Job Description:
As Office Manager at Smyth Patterson, you will be responsible for assisting in the effective management of our finance and HR functions. This will include developing staff rotas, managing payroll and holiday entitlements, organising supplier payments, and ensuring accurate cash and till reconciliation. You will work closely with our Managing Director to support day-to-day operations and contribute to the overall success of our store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage staff rotas, ensuring efficient staffing levels at all times.
- Collate and process payroll and holiday entitlement information accurately and timely.
- Organise payments to suppliers and manage accounts payable.
- Conduct cash and till reconciliation, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Support HR functions, including staff recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Implement and maintain office management procedures to improve efficiency.
- Liaise with department heads to ensure smooth operation of finance and HR-related activities.
- Utilise accounting and HR management software to streamline processes.
Required Criteria
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar office management role, preferably within a retail environment.
- Strong computer literacy, with experience in accounting and HR management software.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with a diverse team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
