Due to the urgent nature of this position, it is essential that you are available to start work immediately, or with a short, 1-week notice. An Enhanced DBS check will also be required for this role.
Position: Office Manager & PA to PrincipalLocation: Sunderland, with free on-site parking Pay Rate: £13 - £14.50 per hour, depending on experience Term: 37 hours per week, term-time only + 10 days Hours: 8AM - 4PM, Monday - Friday

Job Summary:
- Organise and minute take at academy council and SLT meetings, providing confidential administrative support to the Principal.
- Prepare reports as required by SLT.
- Line management responsibility for the academy's administration function, including performance and operational management.
- Assist SLT with implementing and monitoring appraisal.
- Matrix management of all academy support staff as required to ensure tasks for the Principal are completed.
- Manage the administration of exclusion letters, relevant documentation, and arranging student discipline meetings.
- Receive, prioritise, and forward the Principal's correspondence, including telephone calls, emails, and post.
- Ensure effective academy communications by maintaining the academy communications log and monitoring the academy public enquiries inbox.
- Support the Business Manager with safer recruitment processes, which may include maintaining an accurate single central record.
- Organise and maintain effective filing systems, both paper and electronic, to provide an efficient working environment.
- Prepare the termly events calendar and liaise with staff on the production of information packs for school events.
- Oversee the input and monitoring of holiday and leave of absence request data.
- Conduct performance management for office staff.
- Build relationships and liaise with the local academy council and group directors on appropriate matters.
- Undertake supervision duties where appropriate.
- Comply with academy policies and procedures at all times.
GDPR:
- Adhere to GDPR and Data Protection Regulations while maintaining confidentiality.
Safeguarding:
- Follow all safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
- This role mainly involves working with children.
General:
- Participate in wider Trust meetings and working groups as required.
