A Field Service Engineer with strong electrical skills and experience of working on offshore / subsea marine equipment is needed by an established engineering company.
You will be responsible for commissioning, factory and final acceptance testing, installation, sea trials and providing operations support on specialist marine and offshore equipment. You will act as am equipment technical specialists responsible for: -
- Keeping equipment fully functional, repairing it if it breaks plus to provide some operational support and advice to customers operations personnel.
- Provide support and product training to customer's operational staff
- Submit timely and accurate service and fault reports
- Observe health & safety requirements
The successful candidate will have a formal technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic or Multidisciplinary Engineering and experience of working on offshore, marine or subsea equipment either as a Service Engineer or factory-based technician. You will also have, or have the capability to achieve, all relevant offshore safety, survival and medical certification, have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically. You will need to be a good team player with a flexible attitude to the needs of the operations schedule, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong customer facing skills and have a willingness to travel globally with, at times, very short notice and significant periods spent away from home.
