Job description

We’re looking for an exceptional Teacher of Science and Maths to support the Offsite Manager at our new offsite provision - BASE (Behavioural Approach to Social and Emotional needs).

The provision opened in September 2023 and supports our most vulnerable learners to make academic progress and re-engage with education. We are looking for someone who will deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and scaffolded Science and Maths curriculum to improve outcomes for students, many of whom have significant knowledge gaps and SEMH needs.

Students at BASE benefit from innovative and engaging first-wave teaching, tracking and a targeted intervention offer. We offer a huge range of interventions including: Ruth Miskin Fresh Start Phonics,  Social Skills and Zones of Regulation that complements our reflective and self regulation approach to support pupils’. Training will be provided to staff who would like to develop and further support us with these.

At the top of your game, you’ll be an inspirational classroom practitioner with a proven track record of securing outcomes across the key stages.  But above all, you’ll have a genuine commitment to teaching and developing students to achieve their potential.

You’ll do all this whilst capturing the spirit of our vision and values and whilst role-modelling exceptional professional behaviours.

As a colleague at Leeds, you’ll work within a diverse learning community, striving to deliver an outstanding working and learning experience for all.  Therefore, a genuine passion for working and making a real difference in the community is essential.

We are committed to supporting flexible working and we would be open to applications from candidates who would prefer to work on a part-time basis. We are also committed to supporting staff development and would encourage applications from unqualified, but experienced candidates.

So, if you’re an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Science and Maths, committed to the spirit of co-operation, then we’d be delighted to hear from you.

If you are interested in this role please get in contact with Samuel.moncaster@coopacademies.co.uk to arrange a visit to the Offsite Provision or for an informal chat.

Visit https://leeds.coopacademies.co.uk/vacancies for further info about the Academy and to download an Application Form.

Completed applications should be returned to Dianne Singleton, HR Administrator on hrleeds@coopacademies.co.uk before the closing deadline.
