About this role:
The Onboarding Associate is the primary point of contact for and provides critical support to candidates, hiring managers, and internal HR and business stakeholders to provide a world-class onboarding experience for newly hired employees at JET.
Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Services team, you will be an integral part of the candidate journey, and setting our new employees up for success. This will commence before they join, right up until they are onboarded and settled into their new work environment and new role.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Ensure that our onboarding tool - Enboarder - is activated for all new starters
- Communicate clear policies and employee handbooks that explain company operations
- Share information about the company and working life at JET
- Prepare onboarding kits
- Welcome queries from new employees and liaise with future managers if necessary
- Work with managers to ensure as per the onboarding tool that actions have been taken ie. Introduce team members, check in pre-hire stage etc
- Gather and process paperwork, like contracts and non-disclosure agreements etc
- Inform employees on their first tasks (e.g. which programs to download and how to activate their accounts)
- Ensure new hires have technical assistance to properly set up their hardware and software
- Distribute manuals, passwords and guidelines, as needed
- Address new hires’ queries regarding their contracts and payroll
- Share information on Day 1 onboarding schedule and beyond
What will you bring to the table?
- HR Onboarding or relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks at once
- Ability to troubleshoot, identify improvements and make recommendations on the onboarding process
- Experience working with HRIS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong stakeholder and candidate management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong reporting and analytical skills - data driven decision making
